I) Overall Statement
Gold Saucer is a community, not a company. We aim to bring a community together to enjoy all aspects of the game including each other. We strive to be mature, friendly adults with each other and the rest of the FFXIV Community. We want to have an open minded community where everyone can express themselves and be mature enough to accept each other.

II) Community
As stated we aim to make this a community. We like chatting with each other as much as playing with each other. We understand that everyone has their own goals in this game. Gold Saucer’s main goal is to be a community for all players, help when we can, and build lasting friendships with all members.

i) Expected Behavior
All members are expected to behave maturely. Understandably everyone’s view of humor or level of accepted offensiveness is different, that being said, if anything you say can be viewed as offensive to others, please refrain from saying it. Treat all members with respect. If at any point in time, a player feels uncomfortable with anything that was said, please tell the member to stop or communicate with an officer to address the situation.

ii) Community Events
Community events will be announced on the website and on the FC board. Please check the FC board and the website often for updates. Gold Saucer is only as strong as the members that play in it. If you can attend an FC event, please plan to do so. We are not expecting everyone to show up, but the more community we can have, the better! Also, if any member has ideas for events or would like to host their own event, please talk to an officer. Officers will be more than willing to help lead or organize your event.

III) Raiding
Gold Saucer understands that there are players who want to spend their time clearing the end game content and embraces that fact. Gold Saucer provides multiple teams for doing this content and also guidelines for the teams to follow to ensure that everyone has a fair chance at loot or otherwise.

i) Loot Rules
Any full team that is doing end game content will follow the loot rules listed here. If any team plans on deviating from these rules, the entire team must accept, and it should be documented in at least a forum post on the website.

ii) Expected Behavior
All “raiders” are expected to behave with composure and tact. We understand that not everyone adapts as quickly as everyone else on some strategies or not everyone can output the same dps/heals/tanking ability. Any criticisms for any player should be brought up constructively to them. Please refrain from trash talking if player spots are filled with pick up players as this may lead a negative image for Gold Saucer. Raiders should also not be focused purely on loot. The goal of the group is to clear content together, with loot being a side reward, not the main objective. Teaching and learning together and accepting that fact will help strengthen our community.
Outside of raiding, all raiders are expected to use the website to discuss with their teammates, organize, and otherwise notify their teammates of anything. We hope that the website forums that each raid team will have will be beneficial for all.

iii) Raid Teams
Raid teams are not managed by officers of the FC and will be considered a different component. That being said, raid teams will be managed by the assigned raid leader. Any member may become a raid leader and create their raid team. Raid team positions should, but does not have to, give preference to FC members seeking positions in that raid team. Any changes to raid teams should be presented to officers so that they can update the website accordingly.

iv) Raid Leaders
Any member who wishes to become the raid leader of their group or create their own group should propose this to the officers as well as their potential group. Once raid leaders have been accepted, they will be given privileges to get food or otherwise from the FC chest to provide to their raiders. A raid leader should also closely follow and enforce the behavior of each of their raiders so that they can help better their team and the overall community. Raid leaders may not dismiss players from their raid team without a compelling reason. Any “drama” that may happen due to raiding or raiding with specific members should be presented to the officers so that they may help sort the issue out.

v) Off Night Raiding
Off night raiding is a concept for all players, not just raid teams. The point of off night raiding is to schedule a time for players to join you in your quest or activity. You can schedule anything from a dance party to clearing titan extreme. Please use the off night raid forum to specify what you would like to clear, when, and see who can come to help you.

IV) Website
Our website is powered by GuildWork and can be located here: http://goldsaucer.guildwork.com . All members are expected to use the website as regularly as they can, hopefully just checking it once a day to communicate on the forums. Members are also encouraged to link their lodestone profiles to their guildwork account. You can do that following these instructions: http://guildwork.com/characters/new

V) Ventrilo
Gold Saucer also provides a ventrilo service. If you guys wish to use ventrilo please do so. Any member may use ventrilo and also invite their group (fc member or otherwise) to use ventrilo for the events required. If any ventrilo user, FC member or otherwise, begins to abuse ventrilo, we will restrict ventrilo usage. All members are encouraged to use ventrilo when they are on, but do not have to if they prefer not to. All raiders are expected to use ventrilo while raiding with their raid team, even if they do not use or have a microphone.
